All these courses are being run remotely and are made up of live facilitator-led sessions and gap tasks.

 

SKE: Triple Science is £100+VAT, T Level Science SKE: Physics is £120 +VAT and SKE: KS4 Physics is £140+VAT for maintained schools and academies.  Prices vary for independent schools.

SKE: Triple Physics

Sessions: 4th, 6th & 11th October 3:30-4:30pm

Repeated: 8th, 13th & 15th December 3:30-4:30pm

Start your Triple Science teaching with the tools and confidence to plan and teach effective learning for your physics classes. You will learn how to make an informed decision over when to use different types of teaching to communicate physics concepts.  Discover how to use tactile, physical models to simulate nuclear experiments in the classroom and develop students’ understanding of mathematical models, including stopping distance, transformers and Boyle’s law.

T Level Science SKE: Physics

Sessions: 12th & 19th October, 3rd, 10th & 17th November 2-3pm

The course will also provide insight into some teaching approaches and resources that can be used to deliver the topics and is suitable for any teachers that are planning to teach T Level Science in schools or colleges and would like some support with enhancing their subject knowledge. It would be particularly suitable for non-specialists in this area and/or newly/recently qualified teachers.

SKE: Key Stage 4 Physics 

Sessions: 8th, 10th, 15th & 17th November 3:30-4:30pm

Start your key stage 4 teaching with the tools and confidence to plan and teach effective learning for your physics classes. You will learn how to make links between forces and motion using Newton’s Laws and develop an understanding for electricity and magnetism using a stepped series of student-led activities. Secure the understanding of atomic structure to help teach radioactive decay and evaluate a range of Key Stage 4 practicals including the resistance of wire, Ohm’s Law, Hooke’s Law and density.
