Lincolnshire SCITT was set up in 2015 to provide a school-centred programme of Initial Teacher Training within Lincolnshire and the surrounding counties.
Experienced and expert qualified teachers, who believe training in schools provides the strongest foundations for new entrants to the profession, lead the SCITT.
They work in a close partnership with applicants and nearly 100 primary and secondary schools to select the most suitable training school for an individual.
The success and wellbeing of our trainees matters to us and our systems and processes are designed to support, nurture and challenge. A wide range of personnel is in place to ensure that a training teacher never feels they are on their journey alone.
The structure of spending typically four days a week in school and one day in the central training programme allows trainees to blend exploration and discussion of the theory and research behind good teaching and learning with the opportunity to observe and practise it in school contexts with immediate effect.
