We are delighted that you are interested in training to teach. Lincolnshire SCITT offers school centred, primary and secondary, initial teacher training across Lincolnshire and Greater Lincolnshire. We are committed to inspiring the next generation of teachers to make a difference to the life chances of young people.
The practical and school-based nature of the training programme ensures that all trainees will become career ready, confident teachers. We work hard to ensure that trainees are placed locally as part of our commitment to work life balance. Trainees are extremely well supported by our network of expert mentors, who model, demonstrate and deconstruct high quality practice. Trainees build their teaching commitment gradually, as their confidence grows; we very much take a personalised approach. All training is delivered by local or national experts, to ensure that trainees have access to current research and best practice. We are proud that our long-standing partnership with the University of Lincoln, means that the PGCE (60 master’s credits) is carefully integrated into the programme. As well as support from our experienced SCITT team, trainees will have full access to university services.
Our large, successful partnership of schools ensures that we can offer placements in primary and secondary schools in the following regions and beyond: Lincoln (and surrounding villages), Grantham, Sleaford, South Lincolnshire (Bourne, Spalding and Peterborough), North East Lincolnshire, Boston and East Lindsey.
