Tuition Fees

The cost of the Lincolnshire SCITT programme is £9250. 

Student Loans Company

Trainees from the UK are entitled to receive student loans to cover tuition fees and maintenance for the course, this is provided by the Student Loans Company.   You will need to apply through the Student Loans Company, England website, more information can be found on their website.


Postgraduate bursaries and scholarships - Academic year 2024 to 2025

Postgraduate teaching bursaries and scholarships are only available for the subjects listed below. You cannot receive both a teaching bursary and a scholarship

You must be eligible for student finance to receive a bursary or scholarship (unless you’re training to teach physics or languages).

Bursaries

You do not need to apply for these, you will receive payments monthly (administered by Lincolnshire SCITT) providing you meet the eligibility criteria. 

To be eligible for a bursary, you’ll need at least one of the following:

  • a bachelor’s degree class 2:2 (honours) or higher
  • a master’s degree
  • a PhD

Scholarships

To be eligible for a scholarship, you’ll need at least one of the following:

  • a bachelor’s degree class 2:1 (honours) or higher

  • a master’s degree

  • a PhD

In exceptional circumstances, if you achieved a 2:2 in your degree you may still be awarded a scholarship if you have significant relevant experience.

Scholarships are offered by independent institutions. They set their own eligibility criteria and you’ll need to apply through the relevant scholarship body:

If you’re not successful in your application for a scholarship but have secured a place on our teacher training programme and meet the eligibility criteria, you could still be eligible to receive the standard bursary.
