How To Apply
All applications for Lincolnshire SCITT must be made via the DfE Apply for Teach Training website.
On receipt of your application, Lincolnshire SCITT will contact you with the list of partnership schools with vacancies in your region, so you can select three schools that you would like to be considered to train in. Please recognise across the application window, school vacancies can fill quickly, and we will endeavour to keep our school list up to date.
We are keen to ensure that trainees are not placed in schools but have ‘choice and voice’ about the schools that they wish to train in, due to their personal circumstances, as best we can.
- If successful in the screening process, candidates will be invited to an online interview (phase 1).
- If successful in phase 1, candidates will be asked to visit one of the training schools they identified as a preference (if there is a match between school vacancy and the subject/age range the trainee wishes to teach) to see if they feel they are the right fit for the school and also for the school to check that the trainee is the right fit for them.
It is important that both the school and trainee feel they are well aligned to one another in values and principles, to ensure a cohesive working relationship for the training year.
Please note that capacity can change quickly in schools (staff on maternity leave or someone may leave the school) and therefore, Lincolnshire SCITT and the trainee need to remain flexible, working within a changing context.
